Carolyn Curry

I have 25 years experience as a speech-language pathologist. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairfield University in CT and a Master of Arts degree from Hofstra University in NY. I am licensed to practice in NC and NY. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). I began my career in NY as a teacher at a private school for individuals on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. When I became a SLP in 1998, I worked in the public school system treating individuals with speech-language related disorders and I have experience with children, adolescents and adults. I moved to NC in 2010 and love it here! My special interests are language processing, stuttering and pragmatic/social communication disorders.

I have worked in early intervention, private and public schools, rehabilitation centers, and private clinics. I am currently providing services in Terrific Talkers practice part-time and have been associated with Terrific Talkers since 2017. In addition to seeing clients for this practice, I have coordinated social skills groups for elementary age and adolescent clients.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my 3 sons and my labradoodle, and enjoy walking, yoga and time at the beach.
